New Cuvée : Champ Bourcier

Small event for a big rhyolite land

Energy, concentration and sapidity for this “iconic” savennières

On February 6, 2023, Damien and Florence Laureau launched their new Savennières wine: “Champ Bourcier”.

Taking advantage of the presence of our clients who came for the Salon St Jean in Angers, we left our cellar and our rows of chenin to celebrate the birth of a vintage.

The 2019 harvest on the rhyolite plot gave the signal to make this “îcone” vintage. Damien had been thinking about this for a long time. This vintage of frost but of superb maturity was aged 30 months on fine lees, including 12 months in oak barrels and 18 months in stone jars.ès. Only 1500 bottles that reveal this splendid 100% ryholite terroir.

Manuel Peyrondetthe best sommelier in France, gave us the pleasure and honor of tasting the wine in preview. “The new wood has hardly left a mark, the passage in stoneware stretches the mouth… The infusions of plants, the aromas of medlar, quince lull your senses. This vintage plays in the court of the big ones. It subjugates you by its energy, concentration, sapidity and length… “
