Florence and Damien Laureau
THE HISTORY OF THE DOMAIN
The domain Laureau has been part of the famous dry white wines of Savenni for 20 yearsères. Florence and Damien cultiv6 hectares of chenin in AOP Savennières and in AOP Savennières Roche-aux-Moines.
Agricultural engineers, they settled in Anjou in 1999 in Ste Gemmes-sur-Loire at Clos Frémur as winegrowers and arboriculturists. In 2006 they gave up the pear trees to recentron the vine and set up the winery in Epiré, a small town on the Savennières plateau 15 km southwest of Angers.
If the estate is certified in organic agriculture since 2012, the agronomic approach tends towards a regenerative agriculture of the soils, fruit of the studies that Damien pursues in soil microbiology since 2019.

The broom
Chenin on a sandy terroir. It is a dry white wine for keeping and gastronomy, fleshy and balanced. Aged 12 months in barrels and 6 months in vats, it reflects the soft, fruity and harmonious character of Anjou Chenin Blanc. Certified Organic Agriculture.
In its youth, its character will express itself wonderfully after a few minutes of decanting with cooked fish (monkfish…) or well matured cheeses. With time, it can also be served with a pork tenderloin in cream sauce.
